Sayōnara Warrior

My Shibori Samurai has lain down to rest. He battled long and hard, maybe all of his life; his battle is over.

He was many things; he was my father.

He caused me many conflicting feelings; I loved him.

He is gone; I am empty.

He will never be gone; I am him and he is me!

Oh, Carol. I'm so sorry for your loss. Grief is such a strange situation to navigate, and it's the little things which are hardest.

Oh Carol, this is heart wrenching, sending you big healing hugs across the miles.

Oh Carol-Anne, I'm so sorry to hear that! I lost my mum back in early July too, so I have an idea of how you're feeling. She was only a few months older - born May '33.
