I started stitching this motif with a single strand of Soie de Paris but thought that it looked a little thin. I took what I had done and started again with two strands and thought that gave better coverage. It looks a little dense compared to the Queen stitch motifs but I think it will be in better balance when the gold work is added.

Even when you are enjoying Queen Stitch, the Flame Stitch comes as a nice rest, doesn't it!
