While life in the UK seemed to revolve around snow at the start of this year, a forum friend in Australia was melting in the heat and asking us to send some snow her way. I stitched this snowflake Travelling Page for her.
I covered a piece of sky blue satin with a piece of very pale blue organza to create an cool background. The snowflake comprises a variety of crystal beads, mostly silver lined so that they look icey and to give maximum sparkle. I embroidered the word 'Snowflake' in #1 silver.

Very beautiful, clever girl. Your friend down under is very lucky indeed.
It's not too hot but kinda humid here today - in Melbourne at least (not knowing where your friend is here in Oz). Just that stage of the year where you carry a cardigan or jumper, and will get too hot if you actually put it on.
I'm stealing a little snowflakiness appreciation.
And it's so pretty!
That's a delightful snowflake - much the best sort of snow!
Your snowflake page is beautiful! The snow seems like a long time ago now, we have beautiful sunshine today, I hope you are enjoying the same :)
Beautiful! Much nicer than the sort of snow you need to shovel off the path...
lovely snowflake.
Here in Queensland we sweltered through a record breaking summer. Now it is my favourite time of year when the days are in the mid-high 20s, humidity low and the nights drop to low 20's. ahhhh - the is how i spell relief.
Its beautiful and can't wait to see this book of yours, just what I needed to see more snow :-)) Happy stitching Sue
